Primitive Hand-Carved Wooden Duck Decoy - This antique hand-carved wooden duck decoy is rendered in a traditional American folk art style. The piece is constructed with a separately carved head joined to the body and features an inset dark amber glass eye. The exterior exhibits heavy weathering and field use, with extensive paint loss across the entire surface exposing the natural wood grain and remnants of dark pigment. The underside is flat with a rough texture and contains a metal screw eye with a short length of attached twine, while an additional piece of twine is tied around the neck. Length: 13.75 inches.
