Vantines Japanese Satsuma Burner & Tin - A Japanese glazed ceramic incense burner and a lithographed tinplate incense canister, both retailed by Vantines. The square-bodied ceramic burner rests on four short feet and features Satsuma style decoration with heavy gilding and moriage raised enamel accents. Each main face is decorated with a central cartouche depicting a seated Buddha figure in green and red robes against a gold ground, surrounded by scrollwork and stylized peacock feather motifs.
