Late Victorian 2-Bay Apothecary Cabinet - A late 19th to early 20th-century apothecary or general store pharmacy display hutch. The unit features a two-bay design divided by a central vertical member and is topped with a prominent ogee-molded cyma recta cornice. The exterior frame is constructed of dark-stained wood, and the interior features a decorative back panel composed of alternating vertical strips of contrasting light and dark-stained woods. The shelving is made of quartersawn oak planks and is adjustable via recessed metal pilaster strips and support clips. The upper frieze is fitted with two wooden placards secured by screws. The left placard is transcribed TOOTH PASTE in gold-toned serif capital letters. The right placard is transcribed BATH SPRAYS in matching gold-toned serif capital letters.
