ITT Rotary & Western Electric Phones - This lot features two American desk telephones representing mid-to-late 20th-century telecommunications technology. The first unit is a rotary dial desk telephone constructed from brown molded plastic. The rear of the casing features an impressed rectangular mark containing the characters ITT (photo 3). It is equipped with a standard rotary finger wheel centered with a paper label under a clear plastic cover reading AREA CODE with partially faded handwritten digits (photo 1). The unit includes a matching brown coiled handset cord. The second unit is a push-button desk telephone finished in red molded plastic. The rear of the casing bears an impressed mark reading BELL SYSTEM followed by a registered trademark symbol and Western Electric on the line below (photo 2). The face features a 12-button keypad with gray plastic buttons for digits 0-9, *, and #. A matching red coiled handset cord is attached, and the rear of the base contains a modular RJ11 connection port (photo 2).
