Carousel Horse on Cast Iron Base - A carousel horse mounted as a floor-standing display piece. The horse is constructed of composition material or gessoed wood with a heavily aged and layered paint finish. It features protruding wooden handles at the neck and chest areas. The horse is mounted on a spirally twisted wooden pole that terminates in a three-legged cast-iron tripod base equipped with metal casters for mobility. Decorative elements include a painted red bridle and a dark saddle. The top of the pole is capped with a cast-iron finial featuring a perforated circular design. A white paper tag is attached to the pole with handwritten text in black ink that reads Roger over Owen. Paper mache horse: 34x16x7. 82 inches tall.
