Pierced Terracotta Lamp & Glass Marbles - An electric table lamp constructed from unglazed redware terracotta, featuring a tiered ovoid body resting on a separate flared circular base. The lamp is topped with a removable, pointed lid. The exterior is decorated with incised stylized leaf motifs and an extensive pattern of circular perforations. Many of these openings are inset with translucent glass marbles. The lamp is designed to project a decorative pattern of colored light onto surrounding surfaces when illuminated. The electrical component consists of a white cord and an internal bulb socket, shown in a functional state in several different colors including green, blue, and red.
