Hall China Autumn Leaf Jewel Tea Set - This assortment of semi-vitreous ceramic tableware is decorated in the Autumn Leaf pattern, which features transfer-printed stylized vines with leaves and buds in shades of burnt orange, yellow, and brown on a cream ground. The group includes two large mixing bowls, a globular ball jug, a smaller ribbed pitcher, two creamers, a lidded sugar bowl with a pointed finial, a double-scrolled handle gravy boat, an oval covered casserole dish, three small fruit or cereal bowls, and a handled pepper shaker. Several pieces are finished with a gold-tone gilded trim along the rims. The pepper shaker is marked PEPPER in black block letters on the side. A brown printed backstamp is visible on the underside of a large bowl, featuring a double-lined circle containing the text TESTED AND APPROVED BY, a script signature reading Mary Dunbar, and the words JEWEL HOMEMAKERS INSTITUTE. The name HALL is printed in block letters directly beneath the circle.
