K&L Co. Common Sense Fly Book & - This lot features a American-made fly book and a boxed British-made salmon fly brooch. The fly book is constructed with a brown pebbled leather or leatherette cover featuring an embossed fish and the text Common Sense FLY BOOK REG.U.S.PAT.OFF. (photo 6). The interior consists of a metal two-ring binder mechanism holding several paper envelopes with transparent windows. The envelopes are printed with Common Sense Envelope K&L Co. Fly Book STYLE NO. 1825 REG. U. S. PAT. OFF. PATENTED OCT. 28, 1913 (photo 3). Inside the book are several fishing flies, including snelled flies and a bucktail fly accompanied by a Weber printed card identifying it as MICKEY FINN The original authentic pattern from Stevens Point Wisconsin (photo 4). A partial adhesive label for Kingdom of The Seas Inc. 418 S. Los Angeles Calif. is located inside (photo 5). The salmon fly brooch is mounted on a card within its original two-piece cardboard box. The card is printed with the text SALMON FLY BROOCH No. 12 Locharklett BRITISH MADE (photo 2). Width: 6.5 inches.
