Goebel Co-Boy Porc. Gnome Figurines - A collection of hand-painted porcelain figurines from the Goebel Co-Boy series, manufactured in West Germany. The assortment includes various occupational and sporting themes. A gnome chef, wearing a purple shirt, yellow trousers, and a pale green pointed hat, is depicted frying two eggs in a silver-toned skillet. The underside of this piece is incised with Well 518, the date 1970, and the number 28. It bears a blue printed Goebel W. Germany logo and a white and purple adhesive label from Swanton Drugs reading H43PHMT 3900. A hunter gnome, dressed in a green jacket and brown shorts, carries a rifle over his shoulder and a rabbit in his right hand. The front of its base features a printed label reading JOHN, and the underside is incised with Well 503 and a small 6, along with a blue printed Goebel W. Germany mark. A gnome in an orange football jersey and helmet is shown in a diving pose reaching for a football. The top of the base is incised in script with Co-Boy. The underside is incised with 17 530 - 15 and bears a blue printed Goebel W. Germany logo, along with a yellow adhesive retail label from YANKEE PEDLAR, Watkins Glen, N.Y. identifying the piece as Tommy touchdown. A baker gnome in a blue shirt and red pointed hat holds a textured rolling pin and wears a white oven mitt. The front of the base has a printed GIL label. The underside is incised 17 528 - 17, marked with a blue printed Goebel W. Germany logo, and features a handwritten fr. in black ink.
