Richard Satava Petroglyph Paperweight - A Richard Satava art glass paperweight from the Petroglyph series, fashioned from blown glass with an organic, rounded form. The exterior is finished with a textured, matte surface in mottled ocher, russet, and cream tones designed to simulate desert stone. The piece is decorated with dark, petroglyph-style motifs including a Kokopelli flute player, a concentric spiral, and a solar-headed anthropomorphic figure holding a staff. A polished, flat-ground base reveals a solid core of deep cobalt blue glass and features a hand-incised signature reading R Satava above the numbers 2362-94.
