Miller Studio Pan. Communion Photo 1915 - This silver gelatin panoramic photograph depicts the First Communion class of St. Michael's Church in Cleveland, Ohio. The large-scale group portrait includes over 200 participants arranged in rows in front of a stone church building. The subject matter features young girls dressed in white gowns with floral crowns and lace veils, and boys in dark suits wearing ceremonial ribbons. On the far left, a group of altar servers is positioned on church steps wearing white surplices over dark cassocks, holding a processional cross and two ceremonial candles. Two priests are present at the edges of the group. The print is housed in a period wide wooden frame with a decorative wood grain pattern.
