Morris Moskowitz & Czech Evening Bags - This lot features two mid-century evening accessories. The first is a structured black satin evening bag with a silver-toned metal frame and a kiss-lock closure. The clasp is decorated with two large circular knobs encrusted with clear, round-cut rhinestones. It includes a long, integrated shoulder strap composed of a single strand of clear rhinestones in silver-toned prong settings. The interior is lined with black satin and contains one open slip pocket. The interior pocket bears a silver-toned stylized script mark consisting of a lowercase cursive e, a small cursive M, and a larger cursive M (photo 6). This mark identifies the piece as a Morris Moskowitz design. The second item is a small oval zippered pouch featuring cream-colored glass seed beadwork on a textile base. The exterior is decorated with a radial geometric starburst pattern rendered in gold and bronze-toned metallic beads. The pouch is secured with a silver-toned metal zipper along the top edge and is lined with a cream-colored ribbed fabric. The interior contains a woven fabric label with the text MADE IN on the first line and CZECHOSLOVAKIA on the second line (photo 4). A modern paper tag reading Evening Bag is attached to the rhinestone strap.
