3 Christian Dior & Derby Hats & Stand - This lot consists of three women's hats and a three-tier wooden hat stand. The first hat is a multi-colored horizontal striped cloche fashioned from knit or woven straw in shades of orange, cream, and olive green. It features a white fabric label sewn into the lining reading Christian Dior chapeaux Paris-New York. The interior is finished with a bright orange grosgrain ribbon band. The second hat is a cream-colored felted wool cloche featuring a dark brown fur brim and a white satin lining. The interior black grosgrain sweatband is marked DERBY in gold-toned lettering. The lining contains a printed crest with a shield featuring red and white horizontal stripes on the left and a red lion rampant on the right, surrounded by golden-colored foliate scrolls. A small black ribbon bow is attached to the rear of the inner band. The third hat is a natural-toned woven straw sun hat with a flat crown and a narrow brim, decorated with a thin brown cord band accented with small wooden beads and a single shell bead. The three-tier millinery display stand is constructed of turned wood with a warm orange-brown finish. It features a circular base supporting three uprights of staggered heights, each terminating in a flat circular disc. The base contains a central recessed hole.
