Luma-Lite Bowler Hat Ice Bucket w/Stand - This mid-century novelty ice bucket or lidded dish is designed in the form of a bowler or derby hat. The hat is manufactured from spun and polished aluminum, featuring a domed crown and a wide, slightly upturned brim. It sits upon a dark-stained wooden pedestal stand consisting of a lathe-turned circular top platform, a tapered shaft, and a four-footed cross base with beveled edges. The interior center of the aluminum component bears a stamped maker's mark consisting of the words PURE ALUMINUM positioned above a rectangular cartouche; the cartouche contains the words LUMA-LITE and COMPANY, with LOS ANGELES stamped below.
