Rockingham Octagonal Yellowware Bowl - An octagonal serving bowl constructed from yellowware earthenware. The vessel features a flared eight-sided rim and is supported by a circular raised foot. The piece is decorated with a mottled Rockingham-style lead glaze, creating a tortoiseshell-like appearance with a blend of dark manganese brown and golden-tan tones. The interior and exterior surfaces are finished with this decorative glaze. No manufacturer marks, factory stamps, or incised signatures are visible on the underside of the piece. Approximately 12 inches in diameter at the widest point.
