Pair Mid-C. Modern Amber Glass Ashtrays - This lot features two mid-century modern amber glass ashtrays of varying construction. The first is a heavy cased art glass ashtray of circular form, characterized by a deep honey amber interior suspended within a thick clear glass exterior. This piece includes two integrated cigarette rests and a flat base that has been ground and polished. The second item is a transparent amber pressed glass ashtray with a circular rim and four integrated cigarette rests. The exterior sides and rim feature a textured, bark-like finish, while the interior floor is finished with a pebbled or dimpled pattern. This ashtray rests on a tripod base consisting of three small integral feet. Attached to the underside of these feet are white adhesive felt pads. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either piece. The cased ashtray measures approximately 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the top (photo 6). The textured ashtray measures approximately 6 1/4 inches in diameter across the top (photo 3).
