Robert Palmer Metal Owl Sculpture - A modernist metal sculpture of a stylized owl, finished in a heavily textured white paint. The piece is constructed from welded metal components, including a vertically oriented, openwork torso framed by flat metal bands and filled with a web of horizontal and diagonal wires. The head features a flat, overhanging triangular crest above large eyes formed from concentric metal rings. Six curved wire armatures extend from the body, three on each side, suggesting wings or feathers. The sculpture is mounted on a flat, circular metal base. A white rectangular adhesive label on the top of the crest bears the handwritten name Robert Palmer in black ink.  Height: 16.5 inches Width: 17 inches.
