Gayla 1976 Illuminated Christmas Tree - A two-piece illuminated ceramic Christmas tree constructed from molded earthenware. The tree section features a heavily textured dark forest green glaze with lighter green mottling to simulate evergreen needles. It is decorated with multiple multi-colored translucent plastic inserts in the shapes of standard bulbs, stylized flowers, and several small birds. A clear plastic five-pointed star crowns the piece. The tree rests on a separate white glazed ceramic base decorated with relief-molded green holly leaves and red berries. A standard interior light socket with a white cord and an inline switch is mounted to the base. The underside of the white base features an incised signature and date that reads Gayla 76. A white adhesive price label on the side of the base reads Large 69. Total height: 15.5 inches Tree height: 13 inches.
