Vtg Brass & Brass-Plated Table Lighters - An assortment of vintage table lighters featuring various cast, embossed, and etched brass and brass-plated designs. The collection includes a fluted neoclassical column form with laurel wreath bands at the base and shoulder. Two cylindrical lighters feature high-relief cast scenes of putti amidst scrolling vines and floral motifs; the base of each features a stamped mark consisting of a crown above a rectangular shield containing characters that are not legible as a name (photos 4 and 12). A Japanese cylindrical lighter features openwork brass scrolls over a textured blue background, with the word JAPAN marked on the mechanism (photo 7) and a white adhesive label reading 352 on the shoulder (photo 6). An Italian brass table lighter is shaped in a ribbed ovoid form with embossed leaf motifs and bears the impressed name PARISSE over ITALY on the base (photo 9). A final tapered lighter features etched floral patterns and geometric bands. All pieces are equipped with traditional lift-arm or push-button flint ignition mechanisms.
