Cast Iron Leaping Frog Mechanical Bank - A cast iron mechanical coin bank featuring two frogs on a textured base modeled to resemble a marshy bank. The design depicts a larger green frog with yellow feet and black spots in a lunging position over a smaller green frog. The bank is finished in a polychrome paint scheme with red accents at the mouths and yellow highlights on the eyes and feet. The mechanical action is designed so that a coin placed on the smaller frog's back is deposited when the larger frog leaps forward. The bank is assembled with a modern Phillips-head screw visible on the side of the smaller frog.
