ASR & Omsco Silver-Plate Table Lighters - A collection of vintage silver-plated table lighters featuring various decorative motifs and mechanical styles. The group includes footed lighters with designs such as gadrooning, beadwork, fluting, and scrolled patterns. The mechanisms present include squeeze-trigger and flip-top styles. An American-made lighter features an impressed mark on the base reading A S R LIGHTER and MADE IN U.S.A. (photo 15) surrounded by a border of green felt. Several other pieces bear the name OMSCO LITE, which appears as an impressed mark on the upper casing (photos 3, 4, 11) and on the bases (photos 7, 9). One base features an impressed logo consisting of a bell flanked by stylized characters with the word JAPAN to the right (photo 12). Another lighter base is impressed with the words SILVER PLATED and JAPAN (photo 14). One piece is marked with an impressed OMSCO LITE and JAPAN on a base that also includes a fill screw and a flint adjustment screw (photo 9). A small white paper adhesive label with the handwritten number 601 is attached to the body of one lighter (photo 11). Remnants of original green and yellow felt are present on some bases (photos 13, 15).
