Japanese Patinated Bronze Tripod Koro - A 20th-century Japanese incense burner, or koro, of two-part globular construction cast from a dark-patinated copper alloy, likely bronze. The vessel consists of a bowl base resting on three small, integral, rounded nub feet and a matching domed lid. The lid is decorated with a symmetrical pierced openwork pattern featuring four large lobed openings and four small circular holes, all centered around a small cylindrical knob finial. The exterior surface displays a coarse, granular, and pitted texture characteristic of traditional sand-casting techniques. The interior is hollow and retains the same textured finish as the exterior. There are no maker marks, signatures, stamps, or labels visible on any part of the object. Dimensions: 4 in diameter.
