Yello-Bole Pipe & Elephant Pipe Rest - This set consists of a carved tobacco pipe and a coordinating figural stand. The pipe is constructed with a dark briar bowl featuring a series of diagonal linear grooves. It is fitted with a tapered black stem and a thin metal band at the junction of the shank. An impressed mark on the shank reads YELLO-BOLE ? in capital letters above the words IMPORTED BRIAR. The accompanying stand is a cast metal pipe rest in the form of a trumpeting elephant. The elephant's trunk is raised, and the back and tail are contoured to cradle the pipe bowl. The stand is finished in a patinated copper tone over a lighter base metal. A white string tag is attached to the pipe stem.
