3 Brass Animal Novelty Ashtrays & Boxes - This collection consists of three cast brass decorative objects in animal forms. The group includes a circular ashtray featuring four integrated cigarette rests and a central figure of a leaping dolphin secured to the base with a central screw. A second item is a novelty box in the form of a crab, designed with a hinged top shell that opens to reveal a small circular receptacle. The final piece is a hinged box shaped like a fly, featuring detailed incised line work on the wings that lift to access a hollow interior. The underside of the fly wing contains an incised mark near the hinge consisting of two lines of small characters; the first line is not legible as a name or word, and the second line begins with the characters MADE IN followed by several illegible letters. No manufacturer names, stamps, or marks are visible on the dolphin ashtray or the crab box. All items are constructed of solid cast brass with a natural aged patina.
