Set 10 Chinese Brass Bells & Stands - A Chinese cast brass collection comprising ten pieces, featuring various ornamental stands and individual bells decorated with traditional motifs. The group includes an S-curved dragon bell stand mounted on a circular pedestal, which features an attached brass mallet striker and a chain-hung dome bell. A second stand features a dragon-headed arch supported by a horizontal fish-form base, holding a bell with scalloped edges and incised leaf patterns. A figural stand depicts a seated scholar or deity on a leaf-shaped base beneath an arch composed of cast coins, supporting a conical bell. The collection also includes an elephant-themed stand where the seated animal's elongated trunk serves as the hook for a simple dome bell. Individual bells in the lot consist of a small beehive-shaped bell with a seated elephant handle, a horizontal bell cast in the form of a fish with incised scales and fins, a dome bell featuring incised bamboo and floral motifs with a clover-shaped loop handle, and a six-faceted hexagonal bell with floral patterns. Two additional loose bells are included. The items are constructed from solid cast brass with decorative details achieved through casting and incised chasing. Several of the stands are assembled with modern machine screws and hex nuts visible on the undersides. A seated scholar stand is incised with the word CHINA on the underside. A white adhesive label marked 0029 6- is present on the body of the fish bell, and a small yellow-toned adhesive label marked T256 is attached to the underside of the fish-base dragon stand.
