Vtg Brass Metalware & Souvenir Ashtrays - A collection of decorative brass metalware items including several novelty and souvenir ashtrays alongside a small lidded vessel. The group includes a cast brass ashtray shaped like the state of Texas featuring embossed oil derrick and cowboy motifs with the name TEXAS in the center. An enamel emblem is set at the bottom center of the Texas piece reading DALLAS TEXAS around a central horse motif. A novelty ashtray features twenty copper-alloy Mexican coins soldered to the rim of a brass bowl. The coins read CINCO CENTAVOS and ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS with dates ranging from 1957 to 1963. The underside of the bowl bears an impressed stamp reading MADE IN MEXICO. A matching etched brass set consisting of a round ashtray and a dallah-style lidded ewer features hand-etched floral and foliate patterns. The base of the ashtray is stamped WORLD GIFT INDIA and the base of the ewer features stippled lettering reading WORLD GIFT INDIA. A pair of miniature brass slipper ashtrays is decorated with blue and red floral enamel motifs and bears an impressed mark reading CHINA on the undersides. A figural brass ashtray is shaped like an owl with textured feathering and two cigarette rests at the tail. The lot also includes a cast brass dish in the form of a leaf with a berry stem handle, a small square ashtray with a pressed floral star pattern engraved Solid Brass on the underside, and a single miniature slipper ashtray with etched scrollwork decoration.
