Ronson, Colibri & Kreisler Table - An assortment of mid-century modern table lighters in various cylindrical and tapered forms. The group features multiple finishes including gold-tone, silver-tone, and black enamel. A silver-tone textured lighter with a foliate band near the base is marked on the underside with an impressed label reading ”VARAFLAME Venus fashioned by RONSON WOODBRIDGE NJ USA” and lists several U.S. patents including RE 24,163, 2,481,195, 2,620,643, 2,882,940, 3,085,601, 2,846,861, 2,637,990, 3,081,611, and 2,836,044. A black-bodied lighter with vertical silver-tone stripes features a plastic base marked Colibri MONOGAS PART. REG. DESIGN WEST GERMANY. A second silver-tone lighter, which appears heavily corroded, shows a damaged impressed base mark that can be partially read as Colibri and WEST GERMANY. Two gold-tone lighters bear bases stamped Kreisler U.S. PATS. PENDING MADE IN U.S.A. One of these is personalized with an engraving that reads Dave 6-5-78 accompanied by starburst motifs. The second Kreisler lighter features a textured wavy line pattern. Also included is a black-bodied lighter with an etched gold-tone oval pattern.
