Japanese Metal Caricature Table Lighter - A Japanese novelty table lighter cast in the form of a grinning caricature head. The object is composed of silver-toned cast metal with a figural design featuring exaggerated facial features including squinted eyes, a bulbous nose, and a wide, toothy grin. The lighter mechanism is integrated into a lid that forms the top of the head in the shape of a hat. The underside of the base contains two threaded metal screw plugs. The plug on the left is incised with the characters PAT and the plug on the right is incised with the characters JAPAN. The interior mechanism is a standard flint and fuel system. A piece of clear adhesive tape and a white string tag are present on the base. Dimensions: 3 in high.
