Taiwanese Brass Wheel Binnacle Ashtray - A Taiwanese cast brass nautical themed desk accessory featuring a combined ashtray, miniature binnacle, and compass. The circular base functions as an ashtray with three integrated cigarette rests positioned around the rim. A cylindrical pedestal rises from the center of the tray. Mounted to the side of the pedestal is a miniature ship's wheel, originally featuring six spokes. The top of the pedestal houses an inset magnetic compass under a transparent cover. The compass dial is marked with degrees, English cardinal and intercardinal points, and corresponding characters in Chinese or Japanese script, including ? for East, ? for South, and ? for North. The underside of the base reveals the assembly with a central Phillips head screw and bears a small oval foil adhesive label reading MADE IN TAIWAN. Dimensions: 5 in tall x 5 in diameter.
