Cast Brass Chinese Zodiac Floor Stand - A tall, floor-standing decorative stand constructed from multiple cast brass sections. The piece features a shallow, wide circular bowl supported by a baluster-form stem and a wide, flared circular foot. The stem sections are decorated with relief-cast floral motifs, including rose blossoms. The base is finished with an openwork frieze of scrolling foliate designs. A removable circular brass insert rests within the top bowl. The outer border of this insert is divided into twelve rectangular panels, each depicting a different animal of the Chinese zodiac in relief. The center of the insert contains a geometric openwork fretwork pattern surrounding a small central circular medallion with a dragon motif. A white string and tag are attached to the upper stem, but no text or maker identification is legible. The interior components and underside show no readable maker marks, signatures, or labels.
