Japanese Octagonal Slag Glass Lighter - A Japanese vintage table lighter featuring an octagonal central body mounted on a tiered circular pedestal base. The body is composed of panels of marbled green and brown slag glass set within a metal frame. The top assembly consists of a lift-arm ignition mechanism with a knurled thumb wheel and a hinged cap. The metal components are finished in a silver-toned plating, likely chrome or silver. A vertical support post situated beneath the top horizontal plate is incised with the characters JAPAN. The interior of the glass shows some residue and the wick is visible within the top assembly. A white string is tied around the pedestal. No maker names, logos, or patent numbers were observed on the visible surfaces of the object. Dimensions: 3.75 in high.
