Vtg Zippo Advertising & Design Lighters - This collection consists of several chrome-plated Zippo pocket lighters in standard and slim sizes, all manufactured in Bradford, Pennsylvania. The assortment features a range of advertising, commemorative, and decorative motifs. Advertising pieces include a polished chrome lighter with a color logo for Borden, Inc. featuring a cow centered in a sunflower; a brushed chrome lighter with a color illustration of The Silver Spade shovel for the Hanna Coal Co. Division of Consolidation Coal Co.; and lighters with corporate logos for Seiberling Tires and Euclid Precision Grinding Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. An aviation-themed lighter features the winged Chance Vought logo. Collegiate Greek life is represented by a slim model bearing the letters Alpha Gamma Rho (A ? P) in green. Decorative models include a vertical pinstripe design, a crosshatched pattern with a monogrammed box reading TAV, and a Venetian scrolled pattern with a monogrammed box reading MJW. One standard-sized lighter features an etched scene of a golfer on a fairway. The base of each lighter bears the manufacturer's mark, with variations in font and coding. The Borden lighter features a script ZIPPO mark with two vertical bars on either side of the logo. The Euclid Precision Grinding lighter features a block ZIPPO logo with PAT. 2517191 and BRADFORD, PA. The Alpha Gamma Rho slim lighter bears a script ZIPPO logo with three dots on the left and three on the right. Both the TAV monogrammed slim and the pinstripe regular lighters bear script ZIPPO marks with three vertical bars on each side of the logo. The MJW monogrammed slim lighter features a script ZIPPO mark with four vertical bars on the left and three on the right. The golfer lighter bears a script ZIPPO mark with one vertical bar on each side of the logo. A round cream adhesive label reading 7.00 is adhered to the lid of the Silver Spade lighter (photo 1), and a rectangular cream adhesive label reading 722 is adhered to the pinstripe lighter (photo 1).
