12 Vtg Siskiyou & Great American - A collection of twelve vintage American and unbranded collectible belt buckles featuring various wildlife, automotive, and industrial subjects. A rectangular white metal buckle features a relief scene of deer with green enamel accents; the reverse bears several impressed marks including Siskiyou Buckle Co., Inc. WILLIAMS, OREGON copyright 1988, N-85/S Made in U.S.A., a paragraph about deer species, and a circular eagle logo. An oval buckle features a textured gecko figure; the reverse bears a shield cartouche reading MADE IN USA, a crowned eagle logo for THE GREAT AMERICAN BUCKLE CO CHICAGO, and a copyright date of 1981. A circular bronze buckle for Templeton and Associates Petroleum Engineers is impressed on the reverse with a stylized K logo and text reading ADVANCED CASTING ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. and SOLID BRONZE. A rectangular white metal buckle for McJunkin Corporation displays an oil derrick scene and is housed in a clear plastic presentation case. The set includes a brass-toned oval buckle with a central nameplate reading RUSS, a brass-toned At Once text buckle, and an oval buckle with a high-relief armadillo and foliate scrollwork. Die-cast relief buckles depict a Willys-style Jeep, a classic 1930s-style coupe, a fire truck with a dark greenish patina, and a horned goat head. A plain brushed metal rectangular buckle is also included.
