Bidspirit auction | Pair Montana Silversmiths Rodeo Buckles

Pair Montana Silversmiths Rodeo Buckles - This lot consists of two vintage Western-themed belt buckles. The first is an American-made oval buckle produced by Montana Silversmiths, crafted from nickel silver with a rope-twist border and brass-toned metal overlays. The central design features a raised figure of a bull rider on a bucking bull set against a background of foliate scrollwork engraving, bordered by four smooth, polished panels. The reverse is stamped with characters reading MONTANA SILVERSMITHS NICKEL MADE IN U.S.A. and features two attachment points for a missing belt loop and a single prong. The second item is a rectangular Southwestern-style belt buckle with convex sides, made of white metal with darkened oxidation in the recessed areas of the filigree and scrollwork. The central motif is a high-relief figure of a Native American man with outstretched arms, flanked by buffalo heads. The buckle is inset with six United States Buffalo (Indian Head) nickels, showing both the obverse and reverse faces. It also features four turquoise cabochons and nine small red coral-colored beads. The reverse is fitted with a hinged belt loop and a single prong but bears no legible maker's marks. Dimensions: 6 in long.
