Vtg Silver Toned Cherub Table Lighter - This vintage spherical table lighter features a cast metal base with a silver toned finish, heavily ornamented with high relief cherub figures and neoclassical scrollwork. The lighter consists of a weighted orb base containing a removable chrome plated, manual flip top lighter insert at the top. On one side of the orb, there is a recessed rectangular panel that appears to have originally held an identification label or nameplate; however, the remaining markings are faint remnants of horizontal lines and are too worn to be transcribed as legible text (photo 2). The underside of the sphere has a small, circular recessed area containing a dark green felt pad (photo 6). No manufacturer names or country of origin marks are readable on the exterior of the base or the lighter mechanism. Dimensions: 9 in high.
