George III Style Pistol Tinder Lighter - A brass and steel flintlock tinder lighter designed in the form of a box-lock pocket pistol. The device consists of a rectangular brass frame featuring engraved foliate scrollwork on the side plates. The mechanism mounted on top includes a steel cock with a held piece of flint, a frizzen, and a flash pan. To the right side, an integral brass candle socket is attached with an associated circular drip pan. The item is fitted with a curved wooden grip and rests on a front decorative cast brass scroll-form stand. A steel trigger and trigger guard are positioned on the underside. Two separate impressed characters, 2 and 1, are stamped into the underside of the brass frame. Dimensions: 10.5 in long.
