Ronson, Colibri & Champion Vtg Lighters - An assortment of vintage pocket lighters presented in a red felt-lined display case. The collection encompasses various mechanical designs including automatic push-button and lift-arm systems. Construction materials include chrome-plated metal, gold-toned metal, and various decorative wraps such as leather, plaid fabric, and floral celluloid. A chrome-plated lighter features a base impressed with the text RONSON STANDARD TRADE MARK U.S. PAT. RE 19023 EXPIRES JUNE 12 1952 NEWARK N.J. U.S.A. and the bridge of the mechanism is also marked RONSON. A West German butane lighter features a base impressed with the text Colibri BEAUMONT PAT. PEND. REG. DES. MADE IN W. GERMANY. A Japanese model features a base impression reading CHAMPION CERTIFIED QUALITY CONTROLLED JAPAN and includes a logo reading AUER. Another Japanese lighter is marked on its oval base with the text AUTOMATIC SUPER LIGHTER CHROMIUM PLATED FINE QUALITY JAPAN. A lighter with a marbled brown and tan wrap features a base with a circular logo containing the letters PAC above the word JAPAN. A commemorative award lighter is printed with the black text 1960 President's Honor Month TOPPER PRODUCER AWARD. The collection also includes a gold-toned lighter with a textured grid pattern, the base of which features two circular cartridge-style components reading PAT. RE. 19023 and JUNE 12 1952.
