Set 4 Vtg Salem Menthol Pocket Lighters - This group consists of four vintage semi-automatic pocket lighters featuring promotional branding for Salem Menthol Fresh Filter Cigarettes. These items date to the mid-20th century and feature wrap-around decorative covers in the brand's signature green and cream color scheme with black script lettering. One lighter features a mechanism stamped PENGUIN and a base impressed Coronet SUPER LIGHTER JAPAN (photo 7). A second lighter is engraved with the name MARY IVA SHIPMAN in block letters on the upper metal casing (photo 2) and has a base impressed SUPERLAKE AUTOMATIC LIGHTER NO 8250 (photo 8). A third lighter mechanism is stamped CROWN and the base is impressed CROWN DESIGN REG D NO 500; this lighter also retains an old yellow adhesive price sticker marked 7/7 (photo 9).
