Set 5 Japanese Amberina Table Lighters - This set of five table lighters features decorative pedestal bases crafted from translucent ruby-red glass. The glass is molded with a distinct swirl pattern, transitioning into ruffled, petal-style rims and ending in circular footed bases. Under ultraviolet illumination, the glass exhibits a strong orange and yellow fluorescence, identifying it as cadmium-infused glass, commonly known as Amberina. The collection includes five removable mechanical lighter inserts designed to sit within the glass housings. Four of these inserts have a chrome or silver-tone finish, while one possesses a brass or gold-tone finish. A country-of-origin mark is present on a chrome lighter insert, where the word JAPAN is stamped into the metal on the side of the wick-guard mechanism. One lighter bears a small white rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten number 331. Another lighter has a blank white paper string tag attached to the striking mechanism.
