Mid-20th C. Chrome Knight Armor Lighter - This is a mid-20th-century mechanical novelty table lighter and music box designed in the form of a standing knight in full Renaissance-style plate armor. The figurine is constructed from chrome-plated metal and features a closed helmet, pauldrons, gauntlets, and greaves. The helmet is hinged to reveal an internal lighter mechanism, which appears to be operated by a small lever located on the back of the figure. The knight stands on a tiered circular base with an upper section made of black composite or plastic and a lower section made of chrome-plated metal. The underside of the base is constructed of wood and houses a brass-toned winding key for the music box movement. There are no manufacturer names, signatures, or hallmarks visible on the object.
