Ronson Futura Boat-Shaped Table Lighter - A mid-century table lighter featuring a chrome-plated metal housing designed in a streamlined, aerodynamic form reminiscent of a speed boat. The object consists of a main boat-shaped body with a removable mechanical lighter unit integrated into the top section. The underside of the removable lighter insert features a stamped mark reading ”FUTURA” fashioned by RONSON and Woodbridge, N.J. U.S.A. To the left of a recessed screw is an instruction reading OPEN FOR FLINT with a curved arrow. The lighter mechanism includes a textured horizontal spark wheel and a hinged snuffer cap. The rear of the boat housing is open and hollowed, terminating in a recessed cavity. 6 in long.
