American Primitive Wood Bucket, Yellow - 9x12 This antique American primitive bucket is of stave construction, consisting of vertical wooden slats held together by two dark metal bands secured with small nail fasteners. The exterior retains a natural aged wood appearance with visible grain and patina. The interior of the vessel is finished with a bright yellow paint that exhibits characteristic craquelure and age-related wear. A small wire loop handle is affixed to one side of the top rim. Similar staved vessels were historically utilized for tasks such as gathering maple sap or storing dry goods.
