A Collection of WWII Sterling Silver Enameled Army-Navy Production E Award Lapel Pins - A collection of enameled and sterling lapel pins awarded to civilian war workers during World War II for industrial excellence. Each pin is designed as a horizontal banner with red, white, and blue enameled stripes. The center of the pin features a raised laurel wreath encircling a capital letter E. The reverse of the pins are stamped with the words ARMY-NAVY PRODUCTION AWARD and STERLING. Some examples show manufacturer marks, including a circular maker mark with a stylized symbol and a mark featuring a letter Q or O within a circle. These pins were issued to individual employees of plants that earned the joint Army-Navy Production Award for outstanding performance in the manufacturing of war materials between 1942 and 1945.
