Pair Ofuna & Stellar 7x50 Binoculars - This lot features two pairs of vintage 7x50 Porro prism binoculars, each accompanied by a leather carrying case. The first pair is manufactured by Ofuna and bears the mark Made in Occupied Japan, dating its production to the period between 1945 and 1952. The left shoulder plate is engraved with a diamond-shaped logo containing the letters OFUNA, the text MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN, and serial No. 7984. The right shoulder plate is marked 7 X 50 and 7.1 degrees. The instrument is constructed with a metal frame and a textured black synthetic grip, featuring individual eyepiece focusing with knurled adjustment rings and numerical scales. The second pair is branded Stellar and features coated optics. The left shoulder plate displays a logo with a stylized S surrounded by stars and the word STELLAR, followed by COATED OPTICS. The right shoulder plate is marked 7 X 50, 375 ft at 1000 yds, and ZUN No. 66849. Similar to the first pair, it features a metal body with a textured grip and individual focusing eyepieces. A thin leather neck strap is attached. Both pairs include original brown leather cases; the Ofuna case uses a spring-loaded metal latch, while the Stellar case features a simple strap and post closure.
