Howe Bicycles & Tricycles Plaque - 29x19.5 This item is a late 20th-century reproduction of a Victorian-era advertising poster for Howe Bicycles and Tricycles. The plaque features a lithographed paper print mounted onto a thick brown cardstock or fiberboard backing. The illustration depicts a man in a morning coat and hat riding a tricycle, set against a backdrop of a steam locomotive and a rural landscape. Text in the central area identifies the manufacturer as The Howe Machine Company Ltd. of Glasgow and provides a Paris office address at 48 Boulevard de Sebastopol. The left side includes the mark of the original French lithographer, F. Appel. A contemporary production mark on the lower edge reads Publications Sausalito, Calif 94965, identifying this as a modern decorative item rather than a late 19th-century original. The reverse is plain fiberboard with a wire hanging loop.
