Roseville Pottery Water Lily Vase 72-6 - 6in tall A Roseville Pottery earthenware vase in the Water Lily pattern, first introduced in 1943. This two-handled vessel, designated as shape number 72-6, features a horizontally ribbed body with a matte glaze that transitions from a dark brown at the base to a lighter ochre tone toward the rim. The relief-molded decoration depicts a large, double-sided yellow water lily in bloom with accompanying green lily pads. It is flanked by two large, angular, open handles that extend from the mid-body to the flared rim. The underside of the base bears the incised script mark Roseville U.S.A. 72-6, along with a small, black hand-brushed numeral 1.
