Neoclassical Sterling Candlesticks - 11in tall A pair of sterling silver candlesticks in the Neoclassical Revival style. Each piece features a slender, tapered circular stem rising from a stepped circular base. The candlesticks are decorated with two bands of relief-molded ornamentation: one at the shoulder below the urn-form nozzle and another around the foot. These bands feature alternating motifs of classical laurel wreaths and ancient-style oil lamps, separated by vertical ribbing. The nozzles have a flared rim. The base of the item is stamped STERLING, followed by the model number 2150-7 and the inscription INTERIOR FILLED WITH followed by illegible characters. A faint, worn maker's mark is visible above the sterling stamp but is not clearly legible.
