Bill Campbell Signed Crystalline Vase - A 9in contemporary studio pottery vase featuring an ovoid, lobed body with five distinct vertical ridges that terminate in a scalloped rim. The exterior is finished in a high-gloss crystalline glaze that transitions from a deep navy blue at the foot to vertical streaks of cream and cerulean blue. The upper portion of the vessel displays scattered dark blue crystalline maculae, which are characteristic results of a controlled cooling process during the firing of crystalline glazes. The rim shows a slight metallic iridescence with olive-green and gold tones. The interior is finished in a solid dark blue glaze. The foot rim is unglazed, revealing a fine-grained, off-white clay body. While markings are faint, it appears to be the signature of Bill Campbell.
