American Hand Quilted Star Pattern Scrap Quilt - 62 x 74 A mid-20th century utility-style patchwork quilt constructed from an assortment of printed cotton fabric scraps. The central design features a prominent four-pointed star motif, a variation of traditional patterns such as the Star of Hope or Friendship Star. The textile incorporates a variety of early-to-mid 20th-century prints, including maroon and white polka dots, small-scale floral calicoes, stripes, and geometric patterns. The quilt is finished with a blue and white wave-patterned binding. The entire piece is hand-quilted with visible running stitches in a square grid pattern. The reverse is composed of a solid cream-colored cotton fabric that displays the hand-stitching and several historical repairs.
