Hand-Quilted Churn Dash Patchwork Quilt - 66 x 66 A vintage American patchwork quilt featuring the traditional Churn Dash pattern, also known as Monkey Wrench. The quilt is composed of twenty blocks arranged in a four-by-five grid. Each block is constructed from a variety of scrap fabrics, including a grey pinstriped cotton, dark ground floral prints, and pale yellow patterned textiles, set against light-colored backgrounds. The blocks are joined by a solid green sashing grid. The entire piece exhibits traditional hand-quilting, visible in geometric patterns within the blocks and straight lines along the sashing. The reverse side features a pieced backing made of large panels in two different shades of yellow cotton or a cotton-blend fabric with a visible loose, textured weave. The quilt is finished with a narrow yellow binding. The quilt consists of 20 blocks plus sashing and borders.
